Licensing Requirements
To obtain an Illinois broker’s license, the applicant must:

  1. Be 21 years of age

  2. Complete an additional 75 hours, in 15 hour increments

    * Required 15 hour classes:
    Contracts and Conveyancing / Broker Adminstration / Advanced Principles 2000

    * Elective 15 hour classes:
    Finance / Appraisal / Sales and Brokerage / Property Management / Farm Management /Real Property Insurance / Other courses approved by DFPR

  3. Complete a 6 hour broker management class within 6 months of licensure.

  4. Have a high school degree or equivalent (GED)

  5. Pass the state examination ( More state test information is available at www.goamp.com)
