Please note that things are changing in Illinois regarding CE. In the future there will be ONE Core class (4 hours) and everything else will be electives. Some classes may be as short as 2 hours. Click here to see IDFPR flow chart for the changes.

 

Brokers - First Renewal - April 30, 2020

If you were first licensed AFTER Feb. 1, 2018 but before Feb. 1, 2020, you must complete a 30-hour post-licensing class by April 30, 2020. There is no other CE requirement for this renewal.

If you were first licensed AFTER Feb. 1, 2020 - you do not need to complete the 30-hour course until April 30, 2022.

No regular CE classes are required.


Brokers - NOT First Renewal - April 30, 2020

If you renewed your license in 2014, then you will need the following hours of continuing education:

12 hours with at least 6 hours in Core categories (A or B)

Managing Broker - April 30, 2019

12 hours CE (at least 1/2 Core)
12 hour broker management course


UPDATE: Managing Brokers will now be allowed to go back to BROKER category with no penalty or additional education required. Contact IDFPR for details.
